GET THE HELL OUT JAMIE DIMON, AND TAKE THE REST OF YOUR CORPORATE ASSHOLE FRIENDS

If I were the President of the United States of America, this is what I'd say to those big corporations and CEOs:
-

"I’m tired of all you corporate fat cats bitching and moaning. Especially you Jamie Dimon. **

-

You have a problem with paying taxes? Renounce your US citizenship, take your fat asses and incorporate (have your base of operations) outside the United States in some place like socialist Europe or communist China/Russia, or the dangerous Middle East and have them protect your sorry butts. I say this because we all know that when we say "we go to war to protect America's interests", what we're really talking about is protecting corporate interests. Men and women in the military have died to protect your fat asses. Many when they come home have no job to go to. Yet you continue to outsource jobs, and sit in your nice comfy homes/mansions ... enjoying the best that life has to offer.

You're weak and soft and refuse to stand on your own two feet without the aid of the mighty U.S. military and tax payer money. The sorry lot of you make me sick to my stomach.

-

Now let me tell you why you and your friends won't renounce your US citizenship and incorporate (have your base of operations) outside the United States.

-

1. You won’t do it because you’re afraid the communists will seize your companies, and/or the Europeans (who don't trust you) won’t want to protect your sorry butts or even have enough money to support your sorry butts.

-

2. One of the reasons some Europeans don’t want you to incorporate (have your base of operations) in their country is because you pose a national security risk; PLUS without our help, you’ll drain their coffers dry protecting your lying, scheming, outsourcing asses.*

-

3. As for the Middle East, ... do I even need to tell you why you would never renounce your US citizenship and try to incorporate (have your base of operations) there?

-

That’s why for all your bitching and moaning, you will stay right where you are, pay your freaking taxes [let the Bush tax cuts expire] and shut the hell up."

UPDATE: SEPTEMBER 6, 2010

Now you, Jamie (and your asshole friends), could all incorporate (move your base of operations) on some big island in the Pacific; however, you'd have to pay for your own private army (that will eat into your budgets and cut your profits and bloated CEO pay). Plus, if the Europeans and Americans (and rest of the world) are smart, they will make you pay a heavy price (mucho money) to do business in their country.

I have a perfect solution for helping the small business owner. We're going to stop all the corporate (welfare) subsidies to most large corporations and give those subsidies to (American) small and midsized businesses/sub chapter S, and other (American) corporations who help rebuild our infrastructure, invest in a green economy and also invest in great research and development projects, and who provide well paying jobs that cannot ever be outsourced.

Last, reduce or remove our troops in various parts of the world that are causing a huge national security risk because of our presence there; and also reduce and/or merge national security agencies that are dysfunctional and mismanaged and make them functional.

Many of these agencies are jealous of other agencies, and thus, refuse to share information. And then there are the companies that are in the spying and warfare game strictly for profit allowing corrupt individuals to thwart efforts to crack down on crime, etc.; and they themselves, by virtue of their corrupt and/or criminal behavior, create national security problems for us, and a huge backlash against Americans.

Because of conflicts of interest, inability to analyze data and share it, mismanagement, corruption, jealousy and the outrageous number of law enforcement and national security networks, I think it has made us less safe.”

A Real or Fictional Story of Corporate Deceit and Fraud; and the United States Governments involvement to cover it up.

I heard some ignoramus on CNN say that no one should have interfered with the “goings on” of Citigroup, Bank of America, J.P. Morgan Chase, etc. because these companies would have recovered on their own (normal business cycle).
I love to tell stories so here goes …

A Real or Fictional Story of Corporate Deceit and Fraud; and the United States Governments involvement to cover it up.
Here’s the story (fiction or non-fiction, you choose):
There were a bunch of parent companies that owned retail banks, commercial banks, investment banks, and insurance companies (compliments of Congress by repealing the Glass Steagall Act and passing the Gramm, Leach, Bliley Act - cooked up by Republicans who got a bunch of Democrats [and a Democratic White House] to go along with it). ***
-

The investment banks engaged in questionable trades and bought shares of stock (for themselves and other investors) in certain assets and companies that they either knew didn’t exist, or at best, were extremely risky . They got investors (individual and institutional) to buy into their questionable dealings. They also bundled a bunch of risky mortgages from the parent companies retail banks and mortgage companies, and sold them to people all over the world, thereby engaging in a worldwide ponzi scheme.
-

In addition to that scheme, they also used deposits from their retail banks and bought insurance from their own insurance companies or other insurance companies to hedge their bets. Many of these insurance companies they knew didn’t have enough reserves set aside if things went bad.
-

In the meantime, executives were siphoning off profits through insanely outrageous salaries and bonuses. Some of the large shareholders (who consisted of company executives, board members, and the “Wall Street connected” extremely wealthy) consistently voted for and wooed certain board members who agreed with these outrageous executive compensation packages, and they recommended to the smaller shareholders that they go along with their choices.
-

All these companies knew what the other was doing; and they were well aware that their schemes were built on a “house of cards” that could topple world economies; however, they didn’t really worry too much because they knew someone (a sheikh or two, the government, their retail bank depositors, corrupt insurance companies, the FED, etc) would bail them out.
-

[In addition, these companies and the military contracting companies they bought shares in, encouraged (lobbied) members of Congress, who engaged in the politics of fear [of real and imagined enemies], to use these military contracting companies.]****
-

Anyway, when some of these companies “shit hit the fan”, and the stock market kept falling, and people started defaulting on their mortgages because they couldn’t increase their credit card
limits anymore or refinance their homes any more (property values that were over-valued had declined; many had lost their jobs because companies couldn’t compete with foreign imports and closed shop [compliments of
NAFTA and other government trade policies]; or companies continued offshore outsourcing jobs to cut labor costs starting not at the top, but with middle and bottom wage earners ).
-

The small business owner lost business because various members of Congress (especially conservative members who championed deregulation), consistently engaged in policies and/or wrote laws that allowed large companies to get bigger (whereby small companies couldn’t compete).

People began realizing that they were living in a fantasy world and they never made enough money to pay for their kids college, or invest for retirement, or buy furniture, or dress for success, or buy a house, etc. They were living on borrowed money, and their bank executives and investment brokers, and other people’s bank executives and investment brokers were living high on the hog with their money [that was eventually mostly gambled away].
-

The government, to cover up their duplicity in the schemes, yelled the “sky is falling” and feigned gross ignorance. They allowed investment banks to become bank holding companies, and got other countries (debt), the FDIC and tax-payers to loan and bail out all their asses.

Finally (to put the icing on the cake), the (majority conservative) Supreme Court, used a case before it (under the guise of free speech), to allow corporations to further influence politics, thereby giving their blessing to the continuance of these schemes and cover-ups.**
-
If “Capitalism 201 Gone Wild” hasn’t infected your (especially European) country yet … the story above may become a reality for you.
-
Beware …

LABOR LEFT OUT OF THE DISCUSSION

I wasn't going to get on the computer today, but I'm really pissed off. I'm listening to the President of the World Bank, Mr. Robert Zoellick , who was previously managing director of Goldman Sachs and former Vice President of Fannie Mae. During 1999, Zoellick served on a panel that offered Enron executives briefings on economic and political issues. "In the 2000 U.S. presidential election campaign, Zoellick served as a foreign policy advisor to George W. Bush as part of a group, led by Condoleezza Rice, that called itself The Vulcans. James Baker designated him as his second-in-command — "a sort of chief operating officer or chief of staff" — in the 36-day battle over recounting the vote in Florida.[11]" You can read about Zoellick on wikipedia.
-
Mr. Zoellick's past is more than a little scary to me. I heard him on C-SPAN2 this morning. He was talking about the G20 meeting coming up and his conversation turned to the CEO's of major corporations, etc.
-
This is my major criticism of these groups (G8, G20, World Bank, etc.) and most politicians and major corporations; that criticism is that labor is left out of almost every discussion. Labor has virtually no representation at all.
-
Without labor, there is no corporation. What's equally frustrating is that white collar and blue collar labor (management will not be part of these groups) are always at odds. One group thinks it's better than the other group while both groups are getting screwed.
-
There has always been a concerted effort by the power players to keep labor fractured. ALWAYS! God forbid that they join together as a cohesive group around the world asking for an equal share of the wealth. Wise-up labor. You consistently point fingers at the wrong people instead of forming a united front ... a united labor organization. Do you really want to go back to business as usual? Cause that's where we are headed right now!!!!

BAILOUT BANKS OPPOSE EFCA - OUTRAGEOUS!

"Embattled financial giant Citigroup Inc., which has received at least $50 billion in federal bailout funds, hosted a private conference call on Wednesday to build opposition to the Employee Free Choice Act.
-
The call, which came just one day after the labor-backed legislation was introduced in Congress, represents a growing effort on Citi's behalf to air concerns about the bill, which would make it easier for employees to organize. On Tuesday, the bank
downgraded Wal-Mart's rating over fears that the Employee Free Choice Act could pass.
-
Wednesday's conference call was led by Glenn Spencer, a senior executive at the U.S. Chamber of Commerce and an ardent EFCA opponent. It was promoted as "An Update on the Employee Free Choice Act," but much of the content was focused on demonizing the legislation. EFCA will "inhibit flexibility," "hamper companies from competing effectively," and prove "cumbersome" for business, declared Spencer. "From the Chamber's perspective, and I would say probably from the whole business communities perspective, there are really no amendments you could make to this bill that would make it acceptable."
-
The lines of attack from the Chamber official were familiar. But Citigroup's participation, led by retail analyst Deborah Weinswig, raised some eyebrows. The bank has received ample taxpayer-funded aid through the TARP program, leading some to question whether rallying support for an anti-union effort was the best use of its time or that money.
-
"Everyone should recognize that when we are talking about Citigroup here, the emperor has no clothes," said Dan Pedrotty, director of the Office of Investment at the AFL-CIO. "You have a company surviving on taxpayer largess weighing in against workers who want to improve their lives.""
-
Story by Sam Stein, March 12, 2009
see entire story here:
-
My response to Citigroup this morning:
-
"I am deeply troubled by your efforts to derail the Employee Free choice Act. Last year Citigroup settled the last lawsuit surrounding Enron, then you feign financial trouble with your company; next you're taking bailout money, and now I find out you are engaged in conference calls with a host of people telling them about so-called evils of EFCA.
-
I'm ashamed of you people. Something tells me that you guys are behind the whole economic crisis. Trying to reset wages and ward off unionizing.
-
I will do everything in my power to spread the word about you people. I am outraged.

The Magnitude of Corruption is Mind Blowing!

I find it interesting that Citigroup and other financial institutions, got bailed out by their buddy Paulson (who worked for Goldman Sachs for 15 years and whose 5 yr compensation w GS was over $45Mil and his current net worth over $700Mil).

Wonder why those financial institutions got bailed out?

Remember the Enron scandal? About 11 institutions were sued.

Among those sued: JPMorgan Chase, Goldman Sachs, and Citigroup who were the last to settle this year and Alliance Capital Mgmt.

There are even more scandals, lawsuits and SEC fines involving these financial institutions. AIG will probably be uncovered as a scandal that is bigger than Citigroup.

Now get this … a lot of these institutions have turned themselves into bank holding companies that benefit from the bailout; and, JPMorgan Chase (the biggest bank holding company and whose current CEO, Jamie Dimon [who was a key executive and supposed CEO heir to Citigroup before his falling out with Sandy Weill]), is buying up failed financial institution’s assets.

So it would seem to me that the American taxpayer, the honest shareholder’s of Enron stock [and shareholders of other failed company stock] and the honest employees who lost their pensions in the Enron scam, bailed out a bunch of companies that were involved in the fall of Enron; and bailed out organizations involved in other scandals.

Corruption is everywhere … from state Governors, Congress, the Senate, the President, domestic and international financial institutions, attorneys, accountants, etc., etc.

That’s why nothing is ever resolved regarding Wall Street or anything for that matter. Most Americans know that this corruption exists, but feel powerless to do anything about it. You President-elect have to chip away at this mess. Good luck.
