THE AGE OF OBAMA

I was watching "Meet the Press" and "Face the Nation" this morning and the content and the guests really pissed me off.

The power is shifting in this country and around the world and those who are currently in power "just don't get it". When the people voted for "CHANGE", they were voting to take this nation back from those who were trying to keep power and wealth in the hands of a few. They wanted this nation to be about true democracy; that when the majority spoke, the people who represented us listened and did what the majority asked.

When I watch programs like "Meet the Press" and "Face the Nation", I want to see the ordinary citizen represented. Instead they present the same old people who represent the same old powerful few, who we allow to speak for the majority of us.

Obama is reaching out to the common man ... asking and listening and including him/her in the discussions that ultimately impact the common man's future.

Obama understands that this nation was built from the "ground up" and not the "top down". A true grass roots movement helped create the United States of America; and, without workers, you have no businesses.

Big Business would have you believe that without them we could not exist. Excuse me, we are the reason why THEY exist. If we don't do the work, THEY don't exist; if we don't buy the product or service, THEY don't exist; if we don't deposit money into banks or pay taxes or vote, THEY and the government don't exist.

Last ... don't be fooled by people like Carly Fiorina who feign interest in tax cuts for small business. President-elect Obama has already addressed these concerns [http://money.cnn.com/2008/12/08/smallbusiness/smallbiz_taxes.smb/index.htm?]postversion=2008120810#. Ms. Fiorina and her cronies real goal is tax cuts for the wealthy minority and Big Business.
